Softball Pony and Minor:
Pony Softball:
Girls ranging in age from 6-8 and depending on skill level. Pony softball is a non-competitive, coach pitch
interlock league where the girls travel to Medford, Central point and Talent to play. The girls will learn basic softball skills, such as correct throwing, fielding and batting techniques. Pony softball also provides the girls with a solid understanding of how the game is played. Team has two games per week usually, one home, one away game. Parents are responsible for travel to the away games.
Minor Fast Pitch Softball:
Girls ranging in age from 8 to 12 league age. This is a try out league and skills will be assessed for appropriate league placement. Minor Fast Pitch Softball is a competitive, interlock league which travels to Medford, Gold Hill, Talent, Central Point, and Eagle Point. The girls learn advanced softball skills such as windmill pitching, stealing, double plays, sliding, bunting and slap hitting. The team plays two games a week, one home, one away game. Parents are responsible for travel to the away games. League age Minor Girls: the girl can not turn 13 before 4/30/2012 and play Minor Fast Pitch Softball.
