Ashland Little League's Fall Baseball Skills Clinic begins on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. The skills clinic is designed for all players, boys and girls who will be playing pony, minors or majors next year. The clinics will occur on six Wednesdays in a row starting with the first week of school. There is no charge for the clinic, though all parents are expecting to 'register' their child by sending an email to Steve Rice at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Present and future coaches and volunteers are needed to staff multiple skill stations to keep the kids interested and having fun.Dual Educational Focus
- Coaches and Managers: All adults intent upon volunteering coach, manage or help out are encouraged to come to learn coaching and managing skills. Don Senestraro, the coach of the incredibly successful Ashland High Grizzly team , which has been putting the hurt on teams all over the country for several years, has generously volunteered to organize the skill drills. Along with Daryn McLennan and several other coaches, he will be sharing his philosophy and teaching techniques as well as teaching the kids.
- Players: Simply, a sincere focus on learning skills while having a lot of fun.

- *Some night near the end - potential World Series pizza party (probably at your house, so start baking some pizza pies!)
- Location: Hunter Park Field 2
- The Wednesday times are coordinated with Chuck Thacker's Pitching Clinic times. Players who are involved in the Fall Clinic and also involved in Chuck's pitching clinic will simply be peeled off at these times to work directly with Chuck.
- Dress code and other needs: Cleats, long pants, glove, baseball hat, light sweater if it looks like it is gong to be cool, snacks and fluids.
