Yogurt Hut in downtown Ashland, a strong supporter of Ashland Little League, is once again donating a portion of its sales to the league, in this case 10% of sales that occur on Thursday, July 7. This fund raiser is intended to assist the Ashland All Stars, both the 10-11 and 11-12 year old teams that are going to the Oregon State Championship Tournament in Gresham.
Ashland's 11-12 All Star Team is joining its 10-11 All Star Team and going to the Oregon State Little League Tournament, the winner of which will proceed on to the Regional Tournament in San Bernardino, California.

The game was truly filled with All Stars contributing in every way. Frankie "Boom Boom" Mora hit his second over the fence home run of the tournament. Lawson "Lawdog" Anderson went three for five including two doubles and three RBIs; Nick "The Gladiator" Sanderson pitched four innings and hit a towering home run; Ty "Forget About It" Mulholland drove a ball out of the park and across three time zones; Nate "Mr. Clutch" McLennan drove in two RBIs; Cole "Spiderman" Gerken made another amazing athletic play at third base for an out; Tarquin "TQ" Daily tagged an advancing runner out and performed his usual magic at the plate; Jose "Mr. Professional" Perez was a wall at second base; Ben "Nothing Gets Past Me" Quast shut down the middle infield to the opposition; Kellar "Stellar" Edwards so smoothly slid across home plate for a score that fans thought that home plate had been iced up; Christopher "Buckshot" Buckley fired the ball to the fence; Justin "The Mitt" Robinson patrolled the outfield for the team; and Jesse "The Eagle" Carroll closed out the game perched on the mound firing strikes for the team.

The final score was 14 to 2.

Thanks to Sean "The New Jersey Kid" Gallagher for his masterful managing of the team with considerable help from coaches like "Crazy Cub Fan" Melissa McMillian and the "Quiet Giant" Larry Sanderson as well as considerable assistance from Jerry "I'll Be There" Quast.
Ashland's 10-11 All-Star team clinched the District Championship against Medford with a final score of 10-4 behind stellar pitching by Evan McLennan - who went 4 1/3 innings allowing just 3 hits and 3 runs (2 earned) along with an amazing 9 strike outs. Evan was throwing the heat, with some saying he hit 60 MPH a few times. After Max Morrish came in relieve Evan, Isiah Titus closed out the game with 4 straight outs. Ashland had 4 runs in the 2nd, 6 runs in 4th to take a 10-2 lead with timely hitting by John Ropp, Matthew O'Donnell and Isiah Titus who combined to drive in 7 of the 10 runs. Parker Gerken, Zachary Sanderson and many others had great defensive plays to support Ashland's victory.
